Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has its ups and downs. The tired-looking rooms were a downside due to a large wedding happening, but the service, especially from Leigh at reception, was exceptional. The location was relaxing but could be improved with better access. The dining experience lacked explanation and tour options, but the hand-made pasta was a highlight.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were a little on the dark side with limited lighting options, and the distance from reception to my room was a bit inconvenient. However, the location amidst beautiful woodland was relaxing and peaceful, even though there was a minor issue with the room key. The dining experience was pleasant but had some delays. The service from the staff was overall friendly except for one receptionist.
The hotel is conveniently located near Cheshire Oaks and Chester Zoo, but it's on a busy dual carriageway with some unpleasant smells. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a nice terrace overlooking the back gardens, although the presence of a large container in view was a downside. Service was excellent, especially from Doreen and Nicky, who were attentive and responsive. The dining experience had some delays and cold plates during breakfast, but the fruit buffet was decent. Overall, a good value for money stay with friendly staff.
